Version 0.40.0


I’ve been heads-down on this build, focusing on the one thing that actually matters: gameplay. It might still lack the polish of a “real video game” by conventional standards, but that elusive feeling is inching closer with every tweak.

I’m deliberately avoiding hype and pressure. This is a long-term journey, and I’m only investing time when it sparks joy, not to chase artificial milestones. That mindset is paying off in the results.

🔨 Major Updates

  • Redesigned Shop UI: Far beyond cosmetic—I've revamped how upgrades (the term “upgrades” feels right now) look and feel. I’m genuinely proud of the polish here.

  • Map Visuals on Pause: The map is still clumsy aesthetically, but visuals are secondary until I lock in collision accuracy and gameplay flow.

  • Refined Game Loop: The core loop, play, upgrade, bounce, survive, is tighter. It’s clearer than ever that once this clicks, it’s going to deliver a satisfying experience.

🚧 About Updates & Communicating

Heads-up: I might push future versions without announcing them. I don’t have the energy for a devblog-stream or marketing blitz. My passion is making games, not promoting them. So if a new version drops silently, that’s by design. I’ll try to post notes, but I won’t lose sleep over it.

  • Pay attention to the rhythm. Is the loop feeling cohesive?

This build is about laying rock-solid foundations. If it feels more “gamey” snappier, more intentional, it’s because it is. Visual flair is coming once the bones are sturdy.
